How Does It Work?
Here are the steps we follow with our patients:
2
First appointment
- We will take your health history.
- We will perform coordination and posture tests.
- The first chiropractic adjustment session.
3
Chiropractic report
- Results of the tests from the first visit.
- Second chiropractic adjustment session.
- We will recommend a personalized care plan.
4
Care plan
We will perform chiropractic adjustments according to the recommended care plan.
5
Review
Once the care plan is finished, we will:
- Reevaluation of the tests from the first visit.
- Chiropractic adjustment session.
6
Maintenance
Once a month, we will perform a chiropractic adjustment to prevent relapses, maintaining an overall optimal state of health.
The road to progress
Finally, we present to you the different phases of chiropractic care, which we will provide you with on the second visit to the center. It is very important to have a comprehensive understanding of how chiropractic care helps you and not just treats ailments. The path to wellness is divided into 3 phases explained below. Each phase is equally important, as abandoning any of these could lead you back to the initial point.
1
Recovery
During this phase, we focus on the intensive recovery of your body. In this stage, your body defends itself and problems in the spine damage the nerves. It is normal to feel pain and other symptoms because your body is not functioning correctly. It is normal to notice improvements within a few days during this phase.
2
Improvement
This phase requires a little more time, around a few weeks. Your body adapts to the changes thanks to the adjustments we have been making. This aligns your spine and improves your body's performance.
3
Optimization
The goal of this phase is to prevent relapses, as they would have an opposite effect, returning you to the first phase of the path. We are all exposed to different stresses in our lives that do not cease, such as work, relationships, family, friends, etc...
Frequently Asked Questions about Chiropractic Care
Do I need an appointment to visit the center?
Yes, our center operates by appointment only, whether it's for the first visit or a regular adjustment session. This helps us plan for each patient and provide you with better care.
Can I cancel my visit?
Yes, there is no problem with canceling the visit in advance. If you cancel the first visit with less than 24 hours notice, we will reschedule it for you once. If you cancel twice with less than 24 hours notice, the adjustment made will be deducted from the package. Often, we have a waiting list, and each cancellation is a missed opportunity to help another person.
Why is a health history necessary?
The information from your health history is important to provide you with better care. It also helps us identify possible issues that may affect the care we provide.
How long does the care plan last?
The care plan depends on each individual and the ailments or goals they have. It's not the same for a person looking to improve their health without any ailments, as it is for a person with scoliosis or a serious problem seeking care. Our chiropractors will help you with any questions about care in the second appointment where they will explain everything in detail.
Why do I need maintenance?
As explained on the path to wellness, maintenance is the final step in chiropractic care. Unfortunately, even if you have completed chiropractic care with all the recommended adjustments, we all accumulate stress in our daily lives. This means you may need occasional adjustments typically every 3 weeks to a month to avoid relapse and continue improving your health.
